Bitter is how we feel, it would be the only thing we have left, but we have art. Art as protest, art as a reflection of the spirit of the age–whether that be the hand raised in triumph and solidarity or the big bad wolf–art as maybe the last form of effective protest. With over 20 years of combined advisory experience, Bitter plans to reimagine the tenets of exhibiting and selling art. We have no interest in art that belongs behind a couch or for an elevator lobby, but work that does something to both our particular Lower East Side community and to the world at large.
